Tennis apparel is all about feeling good while looking good out on the tennis court. Modern fabrics used in today's athletic apparel has got it all -- comfort, dryness with new wicking technology, full range of motion, and durability.

 

Most apparel is created from a few basic fabrics:

 

Lycra® - Apparel made from Lycra® tends to hold its shape and fit snug to the body. Most tennis apprel that contains Lycra® use small amounts (less than 10% typically) combined with other materials for comfort, great fit, durability, and a subtle sheen.

Coolmax® - The point of Coolmax® fabric is to wick perspiration away from your body to keep you cool. This is typically a lightweight fabric that will fit comfortably in most styles.

Spandex® - Similar to Lycra®, Spandex® is generally used in a fabric blend lending great fit, nice stretch, and good comfort in most tennis apparel.

Yip-Dry® - This proprietary fabric is found in most Balle-de-Match apparel. It is a fast-drying, moisture-wicking fabric.

 

No matter which fabric you like best, no tennis apparel will look or feel good if it's not the right size. It's important to carefully gather your measurements and make sure to compare them to any tennis apparel you are considering for purchase.
